These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to Maya, a WhatsApp-based business assistant operated by Lean Labs Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “us”). By messaging Maya, creating or joining a business workspace, or using tellmaya.live, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Maya helps businesses create invoices, quotations, and manage clients, products, and team members through WhatsApp direct messages. Maya uses artificial intelligence; responses, invoice amounts, and tax calculations may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for verifying all financial information, GST calculations, and invoice details before sending them to clients or using them for compliance purposes.
Maya is an R&D product. Features, limits, and availability may change without notice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and operating or working for a legitimate business entity. You must have a valid WhatsApp account and, where applicable, authority from your business to enter into these Terms on its behalf.
Business workspaces and accounts
- Each business workspace is created with a 6-character invite code. Anyone with the code may join until an admin revokes access.
- Shared workspace data (invoices, clients, catalog, team records) is visible to all members by design.
- Admin-only operations (updating bank details, GSTIN, business settings) are restricted to business admins.
- You are responsible for activity under your WhatsApp number and for keeping invite codes confidential.
- We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Maya to generate fraudulent invoices, misrepresent GST, or engage in financial fraud.
- Use Maya for illegal activity, harassment, spam, or impersonation.
- Attempt to probe, scrape, or reverse-engineer our systems without written permission.
- Send malware, excessive automated traffic, or content that infringes others’ rights.
- Circumvent usage limits, payment requirements, or security controls.
AI limitations and financial accuracy
Maya is powered by third-party AI models. We do not guarantee the accuracy of invoice amounts, GST rates, HSN/SAC codes, or any financial calculations generated by Maya. You must verify all amounts and tax details before sending invoices to clients or submitting them for compliance. Maya does not file GST returns or interact with any tax authority on your behalf.
Missed invoice reminders, incorrect quotation expiry dates, or delayed PDF delivery are not grounds for liability beyond applicable law.
Subscriptions and billing
Current plans (subject to change):
- Starter — Free. 5 invoices + quotes per month, 1 team member, 50 AI replies per month.
- Growth — ₹499/month (INR). 50 invoices + quotes, 3 team members, 300 AI replies, voice dictation.
- Pro — ₹999/month (INR). Unlimited invoices + quotes, 10 team members, 1,000 AI replies, voice dictation.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing, you also agree to Razorpay’s terms. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Refunds are handled at our discretion except where required by law. Grandfathered or promotional access may be offered at our sole discretion.
WhatsApp and third parties
Maya is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is subject to Meta’s terms and policies. Message and PDF delivery depends on Twilio and WhatsApp infrastructure; outages outside our control are not our responsibility.
Intellectual property
We own Maya’s name, branding, software, and documentation. You retain ownership of content you submit, including your business data, client information, and invoice content. You grant us a license to use that content to operate and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
MAYA IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE, NOR THE ACCURACY OF GST CALCULATIONS OR INVOICE FIGURES GENERATED BY THE SERVICE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEAN LABS PVT. LTD. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF MAYA, INCLUDING ANY ERRORS IN INVOICE OR TAX CALCULATIONS.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ₹5,000 INR.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of Maya, violation of these Terms, fraudulent use of invoice or GST features, or infringement of third-party rights, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Termination
You may stop using Maya at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or operational reasons. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your home country where applicable.
Changes
We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
